Mobile surveillance provided by drones or portable cameras has become essential and has real added value for certain industries, including better safety for people and greater visual accuracy. Equipped with thermal detectors, these surveillance solutions serve as non-intrusive diagnostic tools that are fast, comprehensive, and contactless and can be used to inspect coverings and roofs, and infrastructure such as dams, cable-stayed bridges, electric power lines, and solar power plants. More recently, these mobile solutions have helped with studying soil and monitoring cereal cultivation and viticulture to improve yields and optimize irrigation. Thermal imaging also has a role to play in fixed surveillance systems relating to civil surveillance such as police and customs services.
To meet these needs, LYNRED offers a broad range of infrared detectors, from small 160 x 120 formats to larger XGA formats, at a pitch of 12 µm and 17 µm. Built using tried and tested microbolometer technology, these detectors limit development costs and reduce the time it takes to put products on the market.
